  1. Ohhh… This is what you should do from long time ago… Congratulation for the new , I am sure will be one of amazing source to read, blog. 😍❤️ Can’t wait to see more reviews from your thought.

  2. I have to say that your blog is one of my favorites because the pictures you take of my favorite things in the world, makeup, are beautiful!! Total eye candy! 🙂

  3. Hi Michelle- I happened upon your blog and love it! I missed the Estee Lauder VB modern mercury which everyone raved about and you posted and I LOVED the London look you did. The eyeshadow was especially gorgeous on you!! Also saw your instagram pic with all the highlighters. I want to start using a highlighter,(have tried Becca Moonstone a couple times) but unsure with so many out there which one to get. I’m also in my early fifties, so wasn’t sure if that factors into which type I get. What would you recommend?

    1. Hi Cheryl,

Thank you for stopping by my blog!
The VB collection was truly one of the best makeup collections that came out last year! Sad that you missed out..
And yes! I know which post you are referring too! Highlighters are my passion 😀
The best ones in terms of glow and colours usually come from Dior and Chanel. I do love the look they give. However I find that some of them tend to amplify any skin texture. I don’t think you should limit yourself to products duo to age.. but a general rule of thumb would be to take a more subtle route, be it eyeshadow or highlight.
Usually when I do my moms makeup, I try to use products that aren’t as bold as I would myself. Though I don’t skimp on blush! It’s the single product that works amazingly on mature skin, bringing back some colour to the complexion.
Anyways, back to highlight, I’d suggest a something like Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight. It’s a beautiful shade that goes with almost any skin tone! Make sure you buy a good highlighter brush to go with that too. The brush makes a huge difference as well to get that well diffused glow 🙂
      xx

    1. I went to Sephora today and they were selling the Nars Hot Sand by itself-without Laguna and for $30!. The Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight was only in a contour kit in the store, but available by itself online. Going to try them at home and in different lights. So far the KA candlelight is softer/smoother on the skin and more subtle and I think I like that better.

      1. Yes! The Hot Sand single is something new. I was told it was a March release, but that’s for Asia but usually the U.S gets new releases ahead of us 🙂
And yes, the KA is a very fine texture. One of my all time favourites ❤

      2. Michelle- one last highlighter question. I really like the Kevyn Aucoin candlelight. However I had to buy the KA contour book #2 @$60 in order to try the candlelight highlighter b/c the highlighter alone is only available online.. My question is, there is both a cream & powder highlighter in the book. Is there any reason I need both? Thanks again!!!😃
